Create Podcast with NotebookLM
Ever feel overwhelmed by all the content you want to digest — news articles, long-form reports, or technical breakdowns? AI podcast generator, Google’s NotebookLM is here to help. It’s like having your own research assistant and podcast producer rolled into one.
And guess what? You can actually use it to turn your notes into mini podcast episodes, like this:
In this article, I’ll walk you through exactly how to do that — using a real-world example: the newly released Claude 4 by Anthropic.
Let’s dive in. 👇
🛠 Step 1: Access AI Podcast Generator NotebookLM and Sign In
Head over to NotebookLM and sign in using your Google account. If it’s your first time, you’ll be asked to start a new notebook. If not, you’ll see your existing ones.

Step 1: sign in and create new notebook
📥 Step 2: Create a New Notebook and Add Your Sources
Click “Create” to open a brand-new notebook. You’ll land on a page that lets you upload up to 50 different sources. These can be:
- Google Docs
- Articles (via links)
- YouTube videos with transcripts
- MP3s or PDFs
📌 Pro tip: The AI will only pull info from the sources you upload. That means more privacy and better relevance.

Step2: upload up to 50 different source formats.
Let’s use a real example:
Say you just read this piece about Claude Opus 4, Anthropic’s latest and most powerful AI model: Claude 4 Launch News. You can upload this article as a source. Want to throw in a few tweets or videos from the launch? Even better.
🧠 Step 3: Let NotebookLM Summarize Everything
After uploading your sources, NotebookLM automatically generates a smart summary to help you see the big picture.
You’ll find the “Sources” bar in the left side, where you can add more sources of information to enrich your content.

The “Chat” page in the middle is for you to interact with AI to analyze the content source and ask questions. You can also generate Mind map with a click of the “Mind map” button.
There is a helpful “Notebook Guide” in the corner, which can give you:
- FAQs
- Tables of contents
- Quick reference notes
This helps you get a grip on the information before hitting the “record” button, so to speak.
➕ Step 4: Add More Material If Needed
You can keep enriching your notebook by clicking the “+ Add” icon in the top left-hand cornor. The more quality content you feed it, the smarter and smoother your podcast episode will sound.
For our Claude 4 example, you might add Anthropic’s official docs, comparisons with Gemini or GPT-4, or industry reactions from platforms like Wired or ITPro.
🔊 Step 5: Generate Your Podcast Audio via AI podcast generator
Now for the fun part.Click the “Audio Overview” tab . NotebookLM will create a short podcast episode summarizing your content.

🎧 Step 6: Listen In, Tweak If You Want
The AI-generated episode sounds like a casual chat between a male and female host. It includes small pauses, jokes, and a relaxed tone — which makes it surprisingly easy to follow.
Most episodes are around 5–15 minutes long, and you can:
- Share it via a link or embed it on your site
- Download the audio
- Change playback speed
🌍 Step 7: Share or Embed Your Episode
Want to share your Claude 4 recap podcast with your audience? Just grab the link or copy the embed code to add it to your blog, like so:
